Suspected killer of corps member arrested in Kaduna State

The suspected murderer of a National Youth Service Corps member, Lawal Kontagora has been arrested in Kaduna State.

Spokesman for the Kaduna State Police Command, ASP Aliyu Usman said on Saturday, that the kingpin was arrested on November 2. The suspect identified as Adamu Jibrin, 22, had made useful statement to the police on the crime. The arrest were carried out by the State Intelligence Bureau (SIB). Two suspects were earlier arrested on Oct. 20.

The Police in Imo state have declared a pastor, Samuel Ahanonu of Orogwe in the Owerri-West area of the state and three others - Okey Ozuzu, Chijioke Daggarman Ahanonu and Raymond Egbunine - wanted in connection with alleged kidnap and murder of their brother, Kennedy Amaechi Ahanonu.

President Muhammadu Buhari and Senate President Bukola Saraki may have made up on the $29.9 billion loan approval which the executive is seeking from the National Assembly.

Buhari and Saraki are understood to have met three times on the issue in the last few days since the Senate turned down the request last week.

Saraki has already admitted that the loan request may be re-presented by the executive.
