Nigeria’s Women U-17 team, Flamingoes, have been sent packing from the
ongoing FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup taking place in Jordan.
Korea DPR thrashed the Flamingoes 3-0 on Saturday to confirm the exit of the Nigerian ladies.
The 2016 Flamingoes set are the worst ever assembled as the team could
only muster a point from three games, and failed to score a goal in over
270 minutes of football action.
The Flamingoes were beaten 1-0 in their first game by Brazil before playing a barren draw against England.
Only a victory on Saturday would have helped the chances of the
Flamingoes but the team was no match for the Asian champions who
finished top of the group.
England also joined Korea DPR in the quarter finals after beating Brazil 2-1 on Saturday.Premiumtimes
