Appeal Court sacks Rivers APC House of Assembly member

The Court of Appeal in Abuja yesterday sacked a member of the Rivers State House of Assembly representing Opobo/Nkoro Constituency, Mr. Andrew Miller. He is of the All Progressives Congress. He was declared winner of the March 19, 2016 re-run.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has congratulated Mr Diri Adonye on his victory at the Appeal Court, Abuja.

Adonye is the party’s candidate in the March 19 state constituency re-run election in Opobo/Nkoro state constituency of Rivers.

The party’s congratulatory message was issued by Chinwe Nnorom, Head of PDP Publicity Division for the National Publicity Secretary, on Friday in Abuja.

2017 Budget Approved By FEC; to be laid before NASS soon

The Federal Executive Council, FEC, has approved the 2017 budget estimates.

Rising from a meeting which appeared to be very unusual, as it took almost the whole day at the Council Chamber of the Presidential Villa, Abuja, Minister of Budget and National Planning, Senator Udoma Udo Udoma, who briefed State House correspondents, alongside his colleague in Power, Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola and the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, stated that the details would be made known when the President presents the document to the National Assembly, NASS.

Ericsson Sacks 160 Nigerian Workers, Takes Jobs To India

Ericsson Nigeria, the local subsidiary of the global telecoms solutions provider, has disengaged about 160 permanent and outsourced workers in its Network Operating Centre, investigations have shown.
