Photo: 74 year old man arrested for defiling two girls in Delta

The Delta state Police command have arrested 74 year old Godwin Agbada pictured above, for allegedly defiling two girls aged 12 and 14 years in his workshop situated at No. 9, Morka Road, Ubiaruku, Delta state.

The Nation reports that Godwin who is married with five children, was paraded at the headquarters of the Delta State Police Command in Asaba, yesterday October 7th. The minors had gone to his shop to visit him when he defiled them. The state's Police Public Relations Officer, Celestina Kalu, while parading him, said:

Jigawa state says it spends N245million monthly on feeding for boarding students

Jigawa state’s Commissioner for Education, Rabi Ishaq has disclosed that the government has raised its feeding allocation for boarding students daily from N90 to N135 per person. Speaking to newsmen in Dutse the commissioner said that the total amount spent on feeding amounted to N245million. She dismissed rumours that government was planning to de-board all boarding students in the state due the economic recession facing the country.
