Rivers State Governor, Chief Nyesom Wike has accused the Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC) of colluding with a syndicate caught on Saturday printing fake election results sheets.
This follows the arrest of one Mr Atonye Peters and others on Saturday with fake INEC result sheets at a private printing press in D-Line axis of Port Harcourt.

Rivers State Governor, Chief Nyesom Wike, has accused the Independent National Electoral Commission and the Nigeria Police of colluding with the All Progressives Congress to rig the December 10, 2016 legislative rerun in the state.
Wike accused the state APC of printing fake result sheets and other election materials inside a building located at No. 12, Isiokpo Street, D-Line, Port Harcourt.

Oshiomhole Suspends Edo Traditional Ruler For One Year... after he settled with the lady

Governor Adams Oshiomhole-led Edo State Government has rejected the apologies tendered by the Ojuromi of Uromi, Zaiki Edenojie II.

It suspended the Onojie of Uromi for a year for failing to apologise within the stipulated period to a woman, Ms Betty Okoeber, whom he allegedly assaulted on Sept. 28, at a polling unit in Uromi.

Buhari, Saraki Strike Deal Over $29.9bn Loan Request

President Muhammadu Buhari and Senate President Bukola Saraki may have made up on the $29.9 billion loan approval which the executive is seeking from the National Assembly.

Buhari and Saraki are understood to have met three times on the issue in the last few days since the Senate turned down the request last week.

Saraki has already admitted that the loan request may be re-presented by the executive.

Sources within EFCC have disclosed that it foiled a fresh attempt by Patience Jonathan to withdraw $5million from her frozen account during the week.

One of the sources said the anti-corruption agency was informed by Skye Bank that Patience had placed a standing order for $5m to be withdrawn from the account but it was stopped.

Buhari Hands Over Presidential Lodge to Lagos Government

President Muhammadu Buhari has handed over the Presidential Lodge at Marina to the Lagos State government. The gesture followed a request by Governor Akinwunmi Ambode to have the lodge released to Lagos Government in its bid to transform the Marina-Onikan axis into a world-class arts and tourism hub.
The president’s approval was communicated in a letter signed by his Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari, to Mr. Ambode.

Looted Billions: Jonathan Finally Agrees to Appear in Court for Sambo Dasuki

All is now set for Nigeria’s former President, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, to appear in the ongoing trial of his former NSA, Col Dasuki, to testify in favour of the former NSA.

Recalled that Jonathan had earlier faulted the charges slammed on Dasuki, claiming that the ex-NSA could not have stolen $2.2billion.

Today, Dasuki's counsel, Ahmed Raji (SAN), said:
“Dr. Goodluck Jonathan will testify in court. He is one of those who will testify and the statement he made in London appears to be the first phase of the war chest of the ex-NSA.

Boko Haram releases 21 Chibok girls to Nigerian government

(CNN)Boko Haram militants handed over 21 missing Chibok schoolgirls to Nigerian authorities Thursday morning as part of a deal brokered by the International Committee of the Red Cross and the Swiss government, Nigeria's government said.
The girls are being taken to the northeastern city of Maiduguri, where they will meet with the governor of Borno state, officials in the state said. The girls were not immediately named.
Some of the 21 released Chibok girls are shown Thursday in Banki, Nigeria, near the Cameroon border, in a photo obtained exclusively by CNN.

FG has released N3.9tn of 2016 budget – Adeosun

The Minister of Finance, Mrs. Kemi Adeosun, has said that at the end of September, N3.9tn out of the N6.1tn budgeted for the year has been released.
The Director Special Projects in the ministry, who represented the minister, Mr. Mohammed Dikwa, a stakeholders’ forum on reducing the cost of governance in Abuja on Tuesday said only 18 per cent of the releases was for capital expenses against 82 per cent for recurrent expenditure.
